How you can spot an ad

Each ad sits in its own box with the word “Advertisement” above it. Ads appear between sections of a guide, never inside the list of steps.

Ads never look like our links to government websites or like the “verified” stamps on a guide, so you can always tell them apart.

Advertisers don't shape the guides

Advertisers don't write, review or pay for guides. An ad can't change what a guide says or which official sources it links to.
